Connect-A-Dock® Inc. is pleased to announce the release of a new float section to its ever-growing marine product line. The new section will be part of the 1000 Series product line and will both simplify the installation process and reduce the cost of installing new float sections. The dimensions of the new float section are 45” x 60” x 10” (114.3 cm x 152.4 cm x 25.4 cm) which is twice as wide as the existing 1000 Series Float Section. This will decrease the number of float section connectors needed by 3 per section, therefore increasing the value and decreasing the amount of time needed for installation.
“This new float section will be beneficial for our current and future 1000 Series dock customers and will also fill a key need in the rowing community, providing substantial cost savings for larger dock installations,” according to Ryan Gruhn, President of Connect-A-Dock Inc. “The new section will reduce the cost for college and university rowing clubs in need of new dock sections, and will allow them to install and remove rowing docks more quickly and easily”, added Gruhn.
Rowing clubs and universities have been utilizing the 1000 Series Connect-A-Dock floating docks for years to enhance their rowing experience. Connect-A-Dock is used at the world’s largest two-day rowing event The Head of the Charles Regatta in Boston, MA. The float sections provide a stable platform, even at the edges, allowing rowing teams to comfortably and confidently place their rowing shells into the water. This allows the athletes to concentrate on competing in rowing events. In the rowing community, dock stability is critical, and Connect-A-Dock’s stability and ease of assembly is considered the industry standard.
The ease of installation and reduced costs are also of great benefit to waterfront property owners; the new section can be used to build new docks or to extend existing installations. Swim Platforms, Docks and Walkways can all be constructed more quickly and cost effectively with the larger 1000 Series Float Section. The Connect-A-Dock system can fit almost any need, and the versatile modular sections can create many different shapes and sizes with little effort. Whether it is a rowing dock, a leisure dock or a commercial application, Connect-A-Dock floating docks provide an environmentally safe solution to any waterfront need.
